In a couple more years, we hope to be able to provide produce for exactly this kind of situation. But right now, our young system is only producing enough for our family. Unfortunately, I don't know any commercial orchards in our region who are growing this way, yet. Even organic orchards spray, as you know. The best way to get chemical-free produce is to grow it yourself, or help your neighbors or family members grow some. Most people have family members or friends who would be happy to share land. And very soon, if you're in Kalamazoo, we'll have some community garden opportunities to do this kind of chemical free gardening. <br />Michael Hoaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15728642724953659658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8416923201642990454.post-39014695276910378542017-01-02T23:33:52.401-05:002017-01-02T23:33:52.401-05:00Hi..i have a health problem where pesticides make ...Hi..i have a health problem where pesticides make me sick. The problem is, they attack so early in the season, when the fruits are about marble-sized. I'm not crazy about the idea of spraying a bunch of organic sprays either, too much work, esp. since I'm not growing fruit to sell. I don't mind pressing slightly funky apples for cider, etc. Always enjoy your posts, sorry for not commenting on them all!PJ Chmielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13172487759311264254noreply@blogger.com
